Promoting Indian products ahead of Diwali, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday shared a video of an advertisement that features shops selling Indian products, including clothes, shoes, and other items.
Sharing a post from the X handle of the Indian Government, he wrote on X, “Let’s mark this festive season by celebrating the hard work, creativity, and innovation of 140 crore Indians.”
He also urged citizens to share what they have bought during the festive season on social media.
“Do also share what you bought on social media. This way you will inspire others to also do the same,” the prime minister said.

The first part of the video features celebrities including Madhuri Dixit and Varun Dhawan, among others, while the second part of the video was a glimpse PM Modi interacting with local traders in Arunachal Pradesh.

PM Modi’s Swadeshi Pitch
PM Modi has reiterated on several occasions the need to be “self-reliant”. Recently, during his address to the nation on the eve of the Navratri, PM Modi urged citizens to take pride in purchasing and selling “Swadeshi” products.
“To achieve the goal of a developed India, we must walk the path of self-reliance, and our MSMEs bear a significant responsibility in making India self-reliant,” he said.
