Actress Anushka Sharma celebrated the victory of Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Women’s Premier League 2026 on Thursday, February 5. Anushka beamed with great joy upon seeing Smriti Mandhana and team lift their second WPL trophy after beating Delhi Capitals in the final at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara.
As RCB clinched a grand victory to their name and became the second team in WPL history to regain the prized silverware after the Mumbai Indians, Anushka took to Instagram and expressed her elation for Mandhana & Co.

Taking to Instagram, Anushka shared a story where she posted a picture of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru women lifting the prestigious WPL 2026 trophy. The actress wrote, “RCB Women do it again.
History repeated.”

Anushka’s reaction to the RCB women’s victory shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. She is the wife of the franchise’s leading men’s star and Indian cricket legend, Virat Kohli, who represents RCB with great pride and commitment in the Indian Premier League. Notably, this is RCB’s second consecutive trophy within the last eight months, as they also bagged their first-ever IPL crown last year. The victory made Virat and Anushka emotional, as she had seen him wait for the trophy for 18 long years.
Anushka Sharma’s RCB Connection
Even before marrying Virat Kohli, Anushka was seen at various RCB men’s games during the famed couple’s dating days. Anushka eventually married Virat at a grand wedding ceremony back in 2017. The couple announced the birth of their first child and daughter, Vamika, in 2021. In 2024, Anushka gave birth to their son Akaay. Anushka and Virat now reside in London.
Anushka was due to make her comeback with the film Chakda Xpress, based on the life of the Indian women’s team legendary pacer Jhulan Goswami. The project got shelved eventually. She was last seen on the big screen in the 2018 Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero.
