Suryakumar Yadav’s men had booked their place in the final on Wednesday, September 24, by securing a 41-run win over Bangladesh in Dubai.
The Super 4s match between Pakistan and Bangladesh in Dubai on Thursday was a must-win game for both the teams, but despite posting a total of 135/8 in 20 overs, Pakistan successfully managed to get the better of the Jaker Ali-led side.
For Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf picked up three wickets each, and two Bangladeshi batters were sent back to the pavilion by Saim Ayub for 16 runs in his quota of four overs.
