Mumbai, Jun 15 (PTI) AutoVRse on Monday said it has raised USD 2.4 million in a funding round and will utilise the funds to deepen its presence in the global automotive supply chain and expand its smart-glasses-based real-time guidance product.
The funding round was co-led by Singularity AMC’s Large Value Fund III and Early Opportunities Fund, and existing investor Lumikai, an interactive media, digital platforms and games VC.
Founded in 2016 by Ashwin Jaishanker and Adarsh Muthappa, the Bengaluru-based platform AutoVRse (TDW Technologies Pvt Ltd) is into AI-powered training and real-time field guidance for high-precision industrial operations.
The Indian automotive industry’s interest in AI-driven training is being driven by three forces converging
at once. The EV transition has rendered large portions of legacy ICE-era training material obsolete, forcing OEMs and component manufacturers to rebuild training libraries from scratch.
The shortage of skilled labour at India’s manufacturing clusters has made faster onboarding a competitive necessity, the platform said, adding the rise of AI-powered smart glasses has opened the possibility of moving beyond pre-shift training to live, in-the-moment guidance for workers on the line.
The company also intends to further scale its go-to-market in North America — where it is already running deployments at several Fortune 500 companies — and further expand its already dominant presence in India and the GCC, it said. PTI IAS DRR
