Jay Bhanushali And Mahhi Vij Announce Separation After 14 Years Of Marriage: ‘No Villain In This Story’

Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij have confirmed that they have parted ways. While rumours of their divorce surfaced a few months ago, they have now chosen to announce their decision publicly. They shared a joint statement on Instagram, sharing that while they have parted ways, they continue to remain friends, and have each other’s back.

A statement shared by Jay Bhanushali on his Instagram story read, “Today, we choose to part ways on a journey called life, yet we continue to have each other’s back. Peace, growth, kindness, and humanity have always been our guiding values. For the sake of our children—Tara, Khushi, and Rajveer—we commit to being the best parents, the best friends, and whatever else it takes to do what is right for them.”

He further

added that they continue to remain friends, and that there is no villain in the story or any kind of negativity. “Though we walk separate paths, there is no villain in this story and no negativity attached to this decision. Before any conclusions are drawn, please know that we choose peace over drama and sanity above all else.We continue to respect one another, support one another, and remain friends, as we always have been. With mutual respect, we ask for your respect, love, and kindness as we move forward. Mahhi Vij & Jay Bhanushali,” the statement read.

Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali tied the knot on November 11, 2011, and are proud parents to three children – daughter Tara, born in 2019, and foster children Rajveer and Khushi, whom they took in in 2017.

In October 2025, Hindustan Times reported that the popular television couple filed for divorce a few months ago, and the divorce papers were ‘signed and finalised’ in July-August 2025. The report suggested that the custody of their kids has also been decided upon. Jay and Mahhi’s divorce rumours had first surfaced in July 2025, and back then, Mahhi had made it clear that she does not feel the need to clarify.

Meanwhile, last month, Jay Bhanushali cheered for Mahhi as she made a comeback to television with the show Seher Hone Ko Hai. Last month, she shared screenshots of fans praising her performance, and penned a note of gratitude. Jay Bhanushali commented on her post, and praised her fabulous comeback! “Fabulous what a comeback,” he wrote, along with high-five emojis. Mahhi thanked him for the praise. Meanwhile, Mahhi also frequently drops comments on Jay’s Instagram posts featuring their children.
