Hansika Motwani Reveals Family Was Supportive Of Her Decision To End Her Marriage With Sohael Khaturiya

Actress Hansika Motwani has been hitting headlines after she parted ways with her husband, Sohael Khaturiya, recently. In March 2026, they were granted a divorce by the Bandra family court in Mumbai, ending their marriage just over three years after tying the knot. Now, in a new interview, Hansika spoke about the support she received from her mother, Mona Motwani, and her brother, Prashant Motwani, during a low phase of her life.

While speaking to Mashable India, Hansika Motwani called her mom and brother her “pillars.” She said, “Mom has always been my pillar, and bhaiya also.” When she was asked if it was easy to tell them that things weren’t working out and that she had decided to call off the marriage, she responded, “Um, yeah.” Hansika further

added, “Support is everything. It worked. They were supportive of whatever my decisions were. They never told me what to do. In the end, it’s all about being happy and healthy.”

Recently, Hansika also reacted to the public scrutiny around her divorce. She said that she has no regrets and is currently leading a happy life. During her sit-down with Hauterfly, she had reacted, “They wanted clickbait, they got it. They wanted headlines, they got it. I never clarified things, and I never will, because it doesn’t matter to me. It’s better to get off a wrong train than to keep suffering. I have no regrets. I am happy where I am; whatever it is, it’s okay.”

Hansika and Sohael had tied the knot in December 2022 in a lavish ceremony at Mundota Fort and Palace in Jaipur. However, rumours of trouble in their marriage had been circulating since 2025. The rumours were fuelled after she removed photos and videos featuring him from her Instagram account. At the time, she chose not to address the rumours publicly. Their wedding was streamed on JioHotstar. The wedding proceedings, festivities, and behind-the-scenes were featured in a reality series titled Hansika’s Love Shaadi Drama, which streamed on the platform on February 10, 2023.
