The highest base price has been kept at Rs 2 crore and as many as 40 players have registered in this bracket, including the likes of Cameron Green, Venkatesh Iyer, Matheesha Pathirana, David Miller, Rachin Ravindra, Steve Smith, among others.
Nine players have entered the Rs 1.5 crore bracket while only four have set their base price at Rs 1.25 crore. 17 players are available in the Rs 1 crore bracket and as many as 42 have set their base price at Rs 75 lakh.
In the Rs 50 lakh bracket, there are four players while seven in the Rs 40 crore bracket. A whopping 227 of the shortlisted have registered themselves at Rs 30 lakh base price each.
A majority of the list comprises uncapped players with 224 from India and 14 from overseas.
The 10 franchises will compete for 77 available slots overall, with 31 spots reserved for overseas players. The auction is scheduled to commence at 1:00 PM UAE time (2:30 PM IST) on Tuesday.
Kolkata Knight Riders will have the biggest purse at the auction, looking to spend Rs 64.3 crore, followed by Chennai Super Kings (43.4 crore) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (Rs 25.5 crore).
Ahead of the mini-auction, a total of 71 players were released by the 10 franchises last month, including 32 overseas. Andre Russell and Matheesha Pathirana were among those not retained, with the former later announcing his IPL retirement before joining KKR’s coaching staff.
Australia all-rounder Cameron Green has been tipped to command the highest price.
South African Quinton de Kock was reportedly not part of the initial pool but, upon the request of a franchise, was included in the pruned list.
