The extent of the ward as published in the Maharashtra Government Gazette is as follows: A line starting from the junction of Sant Rohidas Marg and Mahatma Gandhi Road at Sion Railway Station (West) and running southwards along the westside of Mahatma Gandhi Road upto its junction with Shramik Vidyapith Road; thence westwards along the northside of Shramik Vidyapith Road upto its junction with ‘A’ Lane between Block No.1 and Block No.5; thence southwards along the westside of the said Lane upto its junction with Bharatratna Rajiv Gandhi Nagar Road No.1; thence westwards along the northside of Rajiv Gandhi Nagar Road No.1 upto its junction with V.K. Krishna Menon Road (90’ feet Road); thence northwards along the eastside of V.K. Krishna Menon Road upto its junction with Khambadev Nagar Lane; thence northwards along the northside and eastside of Khambadev Nagar Lane upto its junction with Mukund Nagar Road; thence northwards along the northside and eastside of Mukund Nagar Road upto its junction with Sant Rohidas Marg at Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Chowk; thence eastwards along the southside of Sant Rohidas Marg upto its junction with Mahatma Gandhi Road ……the starting point. PREVIOUS BMC ELECTION RESULT
The last Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections were held on February 21, 2017, in which Shiv Sena was the single largest party with 84 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party won 82 seats. Indian National Congress secured 31 seats, Nationalist Congress Party won nine, and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena won seven seats. Other parties included Samajwadi Party, which won six seats; the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen won two seats and the Akhil Bhartiya Sena won a single seat. Five Independent candidates also won seats in the election.
