Several parts of Bengaluru will experience power supply disruptions today and tomorrow as the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) undertakes emergency maintenance work. The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) confirmed that the outages will affect areas under the 66/11 KV Soladevanahalli sub-station.
According to BESCOM, the power cut will be in effect on January 10 and January 11, between 10 am and 6 pm. Residents and commercial establishments in the affected areas have been advised to plan their activities in advance and take necessary precautions.
Reason for the Power Outage in Bengaluru
The disruption is due to emergency maintenance work being carried out by KPTCL. BESCOM stated that the maintenance is essential
to improve the reliability of power supply in the long run, even though it may cause temporary inconvenience.

- Tarabanahalli, Hurulichikkanahalli, TB Cross, Hesaraghatta, Bilijaji, Dwarakanagar;

Officials said efforts are being made to complete the work at the earliest and restore power supply smoothly. Those affected by the outage can contact the BESCOM consumer helpline for assistance.
While power cuts due to maintenance are not uncommon in Bengaluru, this outage is expected to impact a larger area under the Soladevanahalli sub-centre, potentially causing inconvenience to households and businesses.
