Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman’s Relationship
The couple first crossed paths in 2004 and started dating years later. They confirmed their relationship in 2013 after revealing her pregnancy with their son Eric, whom they welcomed in 2014. After years of being together, in 2021, the former American Idol judge proposed to Lauren in Barbados, where they originally met in 2004. The fairytale beach proposal took place during a family vacation, accompanied by their son Eric and Lauren’s first son, Adam, whom she shares with ex-husband Andrew Silverman.
During that time, an insider opened up about their relationship to PEOPLE. As per the outlet, the source shared, “They have fun together, as well as being each other’s rock. Simon Cowell on Taking the Lead on Wedding Planning
Previously, in a 2022 interview with The Sun, Simon shared that he would take the lead on wedding planning during his wedding. “I am planning it all; otherwise, I know what will happen—there will be 600 people, and it’ll get out of control, like my 50th birthday party,” he shared, adding, “No one knows when it’s going to be—that’ll be a surprise, even for Lauren. I don’t want to have one of these ghastly wedding planners and all the arguments that happen, and who you do invite and who you don’t invite. The whole thing just seems like too much hassle.”
