Sajid Nadiadwala, who launched Ahan Shetty with Tadap in 2021, has taken an important decision in his favour by granting a title he owned to the actor for his next film. Ahan, who will be seen in his third film following Tadap and Border 2, approached Sajid for a title he owned.
Ahan Shetty kicked off work on his next film with director Tinu Desai and wanted to name it Sanki, but the only roadblock was that Nadiadwala owned the title. Shetty soon reached out to Nadiadwala to explain the situation, and the producer quickly agreed and parted with the name.
A source told Mid-Day, “Ahan’s film with Tinu Desai was being developed under a different working title, but he had his heart set on Sanki. Knowing that Sajid held the title, Ahan reached out
to him. The producer had no hesitation in letting go, no negotiations, he simply gifted the title to him. The Nadiadwalas and Shettys have been close for decades, with Sajid having worked with Suniel Shetty. The producer is also fond of Ahan, who, in turn, holds immense gratitude and respect for the man who launched him.”
For the unversed, Nadiadwala had planned to make Sanki with Ahan and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles, but unfortunately, things didn’t work out, and the movie was put on the back burner.

Ahan Shetty made headlines following his first film for all the wrong reasons. Reports claimed that the actor had high entourage fees, which affected producers heavily. Meanwhile, Ahan Shetty recently made a comeback to the big screen with Border 2, five years after his debut feature, Tadap. The actor portrays Mahendra S. Rawat, a naval officer, in Border 2.
