The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged Saturday that before the examinations for Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) and Forest Range Officer (FRO) in Jharkhand, strong rooms were broken, and question papers were stolen before being tampered with.
The allegations surfaced weeks after a massive student-led protest in Jharkhand over irregularities in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) exams.
Addressing a press briefing in New Delhi, BJP’s national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi accused the Congress-led INDIA bloc of ignoring students’ interests.
“Facts have emerged during the investigation process of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission that reveal the ground reality of the Congress-led
INDI alliance when it comes to students’ interests”.

Trivedi alleged that whatever happened in Jharkhand was “not a paper leak, but a paper loot”.
“Facts have emerged that, in the examination for the Assistant Conservator of Forests and Forest Range Officer, the strong room was broken into, the question papers were taken out, and changes were made to them. In other words, whatever happened in Jharkhand was not a paper leak… it was a paper loot”, he said.
The BJP leader said the alleged episode exposed poor security arrangements around the strong room, where question papers were kept.
“This has also proved how weak the security of the strong room there was. At the same time, it has also proved how weak the so-called claims of the Congress are when it comes to safeguarding students’ interests and ensuring that the examination process runs smoothly”.
Jharkhand Protests
Right amid Gen Z protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar over the NEET-UG paper leak in July, another student-led agitation unfolded in Jharkhand following irregularities in the JPSC-JSSC exams.
The protests in Jharkhand were being led by student leader Devendra Nath Mahato, who sat on an indefinite hunger strike. The agitation was also backed by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) that spearheaded the Jantar Mantar protests.
As protests intensified, the Hemant Soren-led government scrapped several recruitment examinations and ordered a CID investigation, prompting student organisations to temporarily suspend their street agitation.
