Durga Puja, also known as Durgotsava or Sharadotsav, is being celebrated with great fervour across the country. The 10-day festival, one of India’s grandest, marks Goddess Durga’s victory over the demon Mahishasura. Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor was spotted embracing the festive spirit on September 29 in Mumbai.
A day after his 43rd birthday, the actor was photographed at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal, an annual event organised by Kajol and her family.
Ranbir Kapoor Visits Durga Puja Pandal With Ayan Mukerji
Accompanied by filmmaker and long-time friend Ayan Mukerji, Ranbir visited the vibrant pandal to seek blessings from Maa Durga. In a video making rounds on social media, the duo is seen entering with folded hands. As he arrived
on the stage, he bowed his head in front of Maa Durga and offered prayers before the deity. Despite the heavy crowd, the actor made sure to smile and greet fans and devotees warmly.
As for their look, the duo kept their look traditional and elegant. While Ranbir Kapoor donned a dark blue kurta paired with crisp white trousers, Ayan Mukerji sported a peach-toned ethnic outfit, perfectly matching the festive mood.

Ranbir Kapoor Cinematic Front
The actor has a jam-packed Bollywood schedule ahead. He will soon be seen in Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Co-starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, the film is inspired by Raj Kapoor’s classic Sangam. The film, set to release on March 26, 2026, revolves around a love triangle against the backdrop of war.
He will then star in the highly anticipated mythological saga Ramayana as Lord Ram. Made under the direction of Nitesh Tiwari, the film will be a visually stunning and emotionally rich retelling of the ancient Indian epic. To deliver the biggest cinematic treat of the year, the film also features Ravi Dubey, Yash, Sunny Deol, Sai Pallavi, Lara Dutta, Rakul Preet Singh, Surpanakha, and Kajal Aggarwal. The film will be released in two parts, with the first part aiming for a Diwali 2026 release.
Fans will also see him reprising his role in Animal Park, a sequel to Animal. In addition to this, he also has much-anticipated titles like Brahmastra Part 2 and Dhoom 4 in the pipeline.
