Naga Chaitanya is currently gearing up for his next mystical adventure thriller, Vrushakarma. He has recently shared an exciting update about his upcoming film. He revealed that the film’s shoot is nearly complete. The remaining portions, he said, will be wrapped up soon, putting the project firmly on track for a release in the latter half of the year.
Recently, during an interview, Chaitanya mentioned that 85% of the shooting has been completed, and the remaining 15% will be finished shortly. The film is slated for release in the latter part of the year.
First Glimpse Of Supernatural Thriller Vrushakarma Out
In March, the makers have shared the first glimpse which immediately went viral. Taking to his Instagram stories, Naga Chaitanya shared the first glimpse,
which shows him stepping into the world of a supernatural thriller. The actor has left everyone impressed with this performance and screen presence.
A press note described the film’s title with a symbolic meaning. “The film is titled powerfully Vrushakarma, and it means one whose actions are righteous, signifying Naga Chaitanya’s character in the movie.” The film stars Chaitanya and Meenakshi in the lead roles, while Laapataa Ladies actor Sparsh Shrivastava plays the antagonist. Vrushakarma is directed by Karthik Dandu, known for Virupaksha, and produced by BVSN Prasad and Sukumar B under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra and Sukumar Writings. Music for the film is composed by Ajaneesh B Loknath, the talent behind Kantara’s celebrated soundtrack.
Speaking about the film in a chat with Hindustan Times, Naga Chaitanya said that the project is something he had been hoping to be a part of for a long time. He shared, “I’ve always wanted to be a part of a large scale spectacle film, with a nice mythical layer added to it. That was my dream in the last few years and finally that dream came true.”
According to the actor, the increasing interest in stories rooted in Indian mythology is also one of the reasons such films are connecting strongly with audiences today.
He explained, “People have become curious about Indian mythology and stories of the land. Today, in the age of VFX and all the technology, we are able to show those stories in a better way. It’s become a unique experience seeing all of it come to life. Not only in India, but even across the world, if you see why Indian films are doing so well, it’s because our stories are so interesting. So being part of that mythical journey, it’s a dream come true.”

Vrushakarma, besides Naga Chaitanya, stars Meenakshi Chaudhary and Sparsh Shrivastava. Produced by Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra and Sukumar Writings, the film narrates a story that explores the classic battle of good versus evil through a mythological adventure.
