Actor Keerthy Suresh, who married longtime partner Antony Thattil in a dreamy wedding in Goa last year, recently looked back on the deeply emotional moments from her big day. The actor, who tied the knot with the businessman after a 15-year-long relationship, shared that she saw Antony cry for the very first time during their wedding ceremony.
The couple recently offered fans a peek into their home in collaboration with Asian Paints, fondly calling it their ‘House of Fun’. During the video, Keerthy reflected on the journey that led to their wedding and the overwhelming emotions that came with it.
‘I Literally Thought We Would Elope’
Recalling how she never imagined a grand wedding after years of being together, Keerthy admitted that marriage was something they never planned in a conventional
way.
“We never even dreamt of a wedding like this because I literally thought we would elope. I never imagined a wedding like this, and when it actually happened, we were speechless after a point,” she said.
Keerthy went on to describe the most powerful moment of the ceremony, when years of longing and patience culminated in a few emotional seconds at the altar.
“When you’ve been longing for 15 years, and it all comes down to those 30 seconds, I couldn’t see anything else. I was completely blank. Everything felt empty except for the thaali (the sacred mangalsutra symbolising the marital bond). It was a very emotional moment. That’s probably the first time I saw him tear up. It’s been a beautiful journey.”
A 15-Year Love Story And What’s Next
Keerthy Suresh and Antony Thattil’s love story began long before she entered the film industry. Antony, a Dubai-based businessman whose family hails from Kochi, Kerala, has been Keerthy’s childhood sweetheart. The couple navigated a long-distance relationship for several years before finally tying the knot on December 12, 2024.
Their wedding celebrations in Goa included two ceremonies — a traditional Hindu wedding and a Malayali Christian wedding — reflecting their backgrounds and shared values.
On the professional front, Keerthy was most recently seen in Revolver Rita, which released in 2025. While the film received mixed-to-negative reviews and underperformed at the box office, the actor is already gearing up for her next project.
She will next be seen in Thottam, directed by Rishi Sivakumar and produced by Monu Pazhedath, Anoop Vasavan and Novel Vindhyan. The film also stars Antony Varghese, with its release date yet to be announced.
