Rajvir Jawanda's Mother Cries Inconsolably, Video From Funeral Goes Viral | Watch

Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda’s death has left the entire nation shocked and number. Social media is flooded with fans paying their tributes to the singer, whose last rites were held on Thursday afternoon.

While hundreds of fans gathered in Pona village of Ludhiana’s Jagraon to attend Rajvir’s funeral, a new video has surfaced on social media, which has left everyone heartbroken.

In the viral clip, Rajvir Jawanda’s mother is seen crying inconsolably as she bids her final adieu to her son. Being consoled by other family members and friends, Rajvir’s mother is seen expressing her grief. Watch the video here:

Several celebrities from the Punjabi music and film industry also visited Rajvir’s residence to pay their tributes and offer condolences to his family. Among others, singers Satinder Sartaj, Babbu Mann, Jasbir Jassi, Karamjit Anmol, Harbhajan Mann and Ammy Virk also paid their respects to the singer. Kanwar Grewal, Kulwinder Billa and Ranjit Bawa also attended Jawanda’s last rites.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also visited Rajvir Jawanda’s residence to pay his last tributes. Following his visit, Punjab CM took to his X (formerly Twitter) to share pictures, when he also penned down a short note in Rajvir’s memory.

“It is deeply saddening to learn of the passing of renowned Punjabi singer Rajveer Jawanda, who died while undergoing treatment following a horrific road accident near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. A legend of the Punjabi music world has been lost forever. Rajveer Jawanda, who captured the hearts of people at a young age with his melodies, will always resonate with his voice. May Waheguru grant the departed soul rest in His feet and give the family and fans the strength to bear this loss,” he wrote in Punjabi.

What Had Happened To Rajvir Jawanda?

Rajvir Jawanda was injured on September 27 near Baddi in Solan district while on his way to Shimla, sustaining severe head and spinal injuries. He had been on life support since his admission. According to doctors, his neurological condition remained critical, with minimal brain activity and no significant improvement despite intensive medical care. His condition was described as “extremely critical” soon after the accident. Before being moved to a private hospital, Jawanda was taken to a hospital in Solan, where he suffered a cardiac arrest. He was then brought to the private hospital in Mohali in an “extremely critical” condition. He breathed his last on Wednesday, October 8.

Following his death, Fortis Hospital, Mohali issued a statement and said, “Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda passed away at 10:55 AM on October 8, 2025, at Fortis Hospital, Mohali. He was admitted on September 27, 2025, in an extremely critical condition following a road accident that caused severe spinal injuries and brain damage. Despite extensive medical support and continuous monitoring by the Critical Care and Neurosurgery teams, he succumbed to multiple organ failure this morning. Our deepest condolences to his family and fans.”
