Guar gum futures fall on low demand

Delhi, Jun 22 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Monday fell by Rs 189 to Rs 11,371 per quintal in futures trade as market participants offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for July delivery declined by Rs 189, or 1.63 per cent, to Rs 11,371 per quintal in 65,450 lots.

Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices. PTI DR DRR
