Who Is Gurucharan Singh?
Gurcharan Singh played the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi – a fun-loving man who is always in party mode and never shies away from expressing love for his wife. He was one of the popular characters on the show, and also a founding cast member. Gurcharan, however, left the show in 2012 only to return next year due to public demand. After his exit in 2020, he was replaced by actor Balwinder Singh Suri.
Last year, Gurucharan Singh was also in the news for several reasons. First, he was reported missing. Then, he opened up about facing financial struggles. Singh also sought support from the industry and asked everyone to offer him work. He shared that he was willing to work hard to pay off his debts.
“I am asking people from the industry to support me. I am back and want to do a lot of work. I also want to pay off all the loans and debts that I have, one by one. That can happen through my work, and I am ready to work hard. I have realised that I can continue my spiritual journey even while fulfilling my other responsibilities in life,” he told Bombay Times.
