GATE 2026 Admit Card: Where And How To Download Hall Tickets Once Released

GATE 2026 Admit Card: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati is expected to release the GATE 2026 admit cards soon. The hall tickets were earlier scheduled to be issued by January 7, but their release was postponed.

On January 2, IIT Guwahati issued an official notification on the GATE 2026 website, informing candidates that the admit card release had been delayed. The institute said that the new release date will be announced shortly.

Once released, candidates will be able to download their GATE 2026 admit cards from the official website at gate2026.iitg.ac.in using their login credentials.

GATE 2026 Exam Dates

The GATE 2026 examination will be conducted on February 7, 8, 14 and 15, 2026, with two sessions scheduled each day.

The Civil

Engineering (CE) paper will be held on February 14 in two shifts:

CE-1: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm

CE-2: 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm

How To Download GATE 2026 Admit Card?

Candidates can follow these steps once the hall tickets are released:

• Visit the official website at gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
• Click on the ‘GATE Admit Card 2026’ download link.
• Enter the required login details.
• Download the admit card in PDF format.
• Save and take a printout for future reference.

The GATE 2026 admit card will include:

Negative Marking In GATE 2026

Negative marking will apply only to multiple-choice questions (MCQs):

1-mark questions: 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

2-mark questions: 2/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

The GATE 2026 scorecard will remain valid for three years from the date of result declaration. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official website for updates on the release of the GATE 2026 admit cards.
