Shah Rukh Khan’s Delhi story has come full circle in the most personal way. The superstar has reportedly acquired the remaining floors of the South Delhi home where he and Gauri Khan began their married life, making him the sole owner of the entire property.
According to Moneycontrol, Shah Rukh, who already owned the basement and first floor of the residential building in Panchsheel Park, has now bought the second and third floors for approximately Rs 37 crore. The acquisition gives him complete ownership of a house that is not just another high-value real estate asset, but one of the earliest addresses in the Shah Rukh-Gauri love story.
Shah Rukh Khan Buys Remaining Floors Of Delhi Home
The property is located in Panchsheel Park, one of South
Delhi’s most premium neighbourhoods. Spread over a 1,200-square-yard plot, the house sits on approximately 10,800 square feet of land.
As per the report, the latest transaction is valued at around Rs 37 crore, with the underlying land estimated at nearly Rs 34,260 per square foot. For most people, those numbers would define the deal. But in Shah Rukh and Gauri’s case, the emotional weight of the home easily outweighs its market value.
This was the house where the couple lived after getting married in 1991, before Shah Rukh moved to Mumbai and began the journey that would eventually turn him into one of Indian cinema’s biggest stars.
A Home Filled With Family Memories
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan tied the knot on October 25, 1991, in three ceremonies on the same day: a registered marriage, a Hindu wedding and a Nikah. Their Delhi home, therefore, belongs to a chapter that predates the fame, the stardom, Mannat and the global Shah Rukh phenomenon.
Gauri has previously spoken about why the Delhi house remains special to her. In an interview with iDiva, she had said that the idea was to create a space close to her mother’s home and preserve years of family memories under one roof.
She had also revealed that the house includes a “nostalgia wall” filled with keepsakes from Aryan, Suhana and AbRam’s childhood, along with Shah Rukh’s artwork, postcards, antiques and personal gifts collected over the years.
