Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, stars of India’s 17-run win over South Africa in the first ODI, were seen celebrating the result at the team hotel in Ranchi from a distance as stand-in captain KL Rahul was asked to cut a cake. In the viral clip, while Rohit can be seen having a chat with head coach Gautam Gambhir, Kohli walked past the two while politely declining to join the celebration while heading towards the elevator.

Kohli scored a brilliant century in his first ODI in front of home fans since February, while Rohit
hit a fifty to set up a match-winning total of 349/8 at the JSCA International Stadium on Sunday. India went on to win the contest despite a spirited performance from South Africa as they twice bounced back from quick blows to keep the contest alive.
RoKo Steal The Show
India were asked to bat first as South Africa hoped to exploit the dew later in the evening. Left-arm pacer Nandre Burger landed an early blow when he had opener Yashasvi Jaiswal caught-behind in the 4th over. That brought together the other opener, Rohit Sharma, and no. 3, Virat Kohli, as the pair gave India control with a century stand for the second wicket.
Rohit scored 57 off 51, an innings featuring five fours and three sixes before being trapped LBW by Marco Jansen. Kohli reached his three figures and then stepped on the paddle to improve the scoring rate. He was eventually dislodged after racking up 135 from 120 deliveries with the help of 11 fours and seven sixes.
Later, Kuldeep Yadav took a four-wicket haul while Harshit Rana grabbed three wickets as South Africa were bowled out for 332 in the chase of 350. India will look to close out the series in Raipur, the venue of the second ODI, on Wednesday.
