Jaipur, Apr 18 (PTI) A tigress at the Nahargarh Biological Park here has given birth to two cubs on Saturday, officials said.
Deputy Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Jaipur Zoo, Vijay Pal Singh said the cubs were separated from the mother after she did not feed them for some time following birth.
Acting on the advice of a veterinary board, the cubs were shifted to the neonatal care unit at the park’s veterinary facility.
After initial health assessment, the cubs were fed under the supervision of experts.
“The cubs are currently under continuous medical supervision and regular feeding and monitoring is being carried out,” Singh said.
The park administration has also deployed three staff members in shifts to ensure round-the-clock care and monitoring
