Indian singer, songwriter, and music producer Arjun Kanungo is set to bring a fresh sonic identity to Ashish Chanchlani’s latest web series Ekaki, crafting its full original soundtrack (OST). Released on 27 November, the soundtrack is introduced through the series premiere and features three distinct tracks—Porancha Ranga, Market, and Kehne Ko Kya Raha.
A Genre-Fluid OST With a Distinctive Sound
Known for his ability to shapeshift across styles and genres, Arjun Kanungo has delivered a layered, eclectic soundscape for Ekaki. The OST blends hip-hop elements, Marathi cultural accents, and his signature brooding, melodic style to create music that shifts tone and emotion seamlessly.
Each track in the album carries its own sonic identity:
Porancha Ranga
– Arjun’s first-ever Marathi composition, rooted in desi energy and traditional rhythmic flair.
Market – A Marathi hip-hop banger, reproduced by Arjun from an original track by his label artist MC Sandy, reimagined with a strikingly dynamic twist for the series.
Kehne Ko Kya Raha – A modern, emotionally resonant track that sits comfortably within Arjun’s familiar musical space, adding depth and balance to the OST.
Music That Serves the Story
The three tracks are not mere additions to the soundtrack—they serve key narrative beats throughout the show. Each is intricately tied to specific moments within Ekaki, elevating the visuals and emotional intensity of the scenes while pushing forward the storytelling.
A Collaboration Rooted in Friendship and Creative Trust
For Arjun, Ekaki is more than just another project. His long-standing friendship with creator Ashish Chanchlani shaped a creative environment grounded in trust and freedom.
Speaking about the experience, Arjun shared, “Being part of this project and creating music for Ekaki with Ashish has been an amazing experience. Ashish and I have been good friends for years, and this collaboration gave us a chance to merge our creative spark in a really exciting way. I’ve seen a few episodes—they’re absolutely incredible and so well-crafted. This is a big project for him, and I’m genuinely happy to contribute, even in a small way.”
He added that each track in the OST represents a different emotional space, “One is a punchy, infectious banger, another has a really cool, groovy vibe, and the third is more driving and melodic. There’s something for every listener. I genuinely hope the OST becomes something audiences replay long after the show ends—music that lives beyond the series.”
Building Buzz Ahead of the Release
As Ekaki gears up for its digital release, Arjun Kanungo’s soundtrack has already begun generating excitement among fans. From Marathi influences to mood-heavy melodies, the OST offers listeners something to loop, revisit, and add to their playlists—setting the stage for a vibrant musical chapter in Chanchlani’s new series.
