Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital. The meeting was also attended by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, popularly known as Lalan Singh.
All three arrived at PM House in the same vehicle. Nitish Kumar had left Patna for Delhi on Sunday. This marks his first visit to the national capital after being sworn-in for a record fifth consecutive term a month ago.
In a post on X, the PMO wrote, “Chief Minister of Bihar, Shri @NitishKumar, Deputy CM, Shri @samrat4bjp and Union Minister, Shri @LalanSingh_1 met Prime Minister @narendramodi today.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also met Nitish Kumar. During the meeting at Shah’s residence, both
leaders discussed various issues related to the development of the state.
“Met Chief Minister of Bihar Shri @NitishKumar ji, Union Minister Shri @LalanSingh_1 ji, and the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Shri @samrat4bjp ji. Under the leadership of Modi ji and Nitish ji, the NDA government is committed to taking public welfare and good governance in the state to even greater heights,” Shah said in a message on ‘X’ in Hindi.
Kumar had arrived the national capital on Sunday for a two-day visit, where he is expected to meet top NDA leaders.
The expansion of the state Cabinet is likely to figure prominently in the talks, with the exercise expected to take place after Makar Sankranti.
