A sense of fear gripped residents of Raheja Heights society in the Malad East, Mumbai, after a leopard was spotted in the residential area in the early hours of the morning.
According to information received, the incident occurred between 3:00 am and 4:00 am, when a leopard was captured on CCTV cameras roaming in the D Wing area of the society. The animal was seen strolling through the parking area, raising serious safety concerns among residents.
Society resident Vijaykumar N. Borra expressed concern over the incident, stating that this is not the first such sighting in the area. Similar instances of leopard movement have been reported earlier as well.
The repeated presence of a leopard has triggered anxiety among residents, particularly regarding
the safety of children, senior citizens, and pets within the society.
Residents have urged the media to highlight the issue so that the concerned authorities and forest department can take immediate action. They have also emphasized the need to spread awareness among locals to prevent any untoward incident.
