Bridgerton 4 Debuts With 39.7 Million Views In Four Days, Ranks No.1 On Netflix

The wait for the Bridgerton season 4 was finally over last week as Netflix’s iconic historical drama returned with a new love story. This season, the focus has shifted to Benedict (Luke Thompson), the third Bridgerton brother, as he starts on a new romantic journey with Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). Days after the release of Part 1, the viewership reports are out, marking its stature as another hit season.

As per a Variety report, Season 4 of Bridgerton opened with 39.7 million views in its first four days of streaming, becoming Netflix’s most-watched title from January 27 to February 1. This is a 12 per cent dip from Season 3’s best-ever premiere of 45.1 million views in 2024, but the Regency-era drama still had a strong viewership overall. Season 3 spent

The release of Season 4 also prompted fans to revisit previous seasons of Bridgerton. As per the report, Season 1 returned to the chart at No. 10 with 2.7 million views, with Season 3 slightly ahead at eighth position with 2.7 million.

Bridgerton Season 4 – Plot

During a recent interview with Hugo Gloss, the creators stated that Bridgerton Season 5 will begin filming in March 2026 at UK studios, with an eight-month shoot scheduled. The fourth season draws inspiration from Cinderella, as the protagonist heroine Sophie (Yerin Ha) slips away to a dance and meets Benedict (Luke Thompson). Despite his elder and younger brothers’ happy marriages, Benedict is hesitant to marry down until he meets Sophie at the masquerade party. While Benedict refers to his love interest as the Lady in Silver, she is actually a cunning maid with her own secrets and desires.

Bridgerton Season 4 Part 1, including the first four episodes, is now available to stream on Netflix. Part 2 of the series is scheduled to premiere on February 26, consisting of episodes 5 to 8.
