Sunil Narine bowled four overs for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2026 match against Lucknow Super Giants on Thursday, April 9, in Kolkata and picked up 1 wicket for 13 runs. He picked up his only wicket of the match on the last ball of his spell by dismissing Mohammed Shami. In an attempt to hit Narine for a six, Shami was caught by Anukul Roy near the boundary ropes.
The wicket of Shami helped Narine become the first overseas player to take 200 T20 wickets in India. The IPL 2026 match between KKR and LSG at Eden Gardens is Narine’s 183rd T20 match in India, and he has 200 wickets to his credit now.
