Wednesday Season 3 Production Reshuffled After Eva Green's 'Nasty' Leg Injury

Production on Wednesday Season 3 has reportedly run into an unexpected setback. Actor Eva Green, who recently joined the hit Netflix series, was injured while filming and had to be taken to hospital.

According to reports, the incident happened earlier this month during the shoot near Dublin. Green reportedly suffered a leg injury while filming her scenes. A report by The Sun said medics rushed to the set after the accident before Green was taken to hospital for treatment. The exact details of how the injury happened have not been revealed.

There is some good news, though. Entertainment Weekly reported that the actor is now “recovering well.” Netflix has also confirmed that an injury occurred but has not shared any further information.

The incident

reportedly forced the production team to reshuffle parts of the shooting schedule while Green recovered. Although some reports claimed filming was halted, it is not yet clear how much the overall production has been affected.

Green is one of the newest additions to the Wednesday cast. She plays Ophelia Frump, Morticia Addams’ sister and Wednesday Addams’ aunt.

After her casting was announced, Green had shared her excitement about joining the popular series.

“I’m thrilled to join the woefully twisted world of Wednesday as Aunt Ophelia.”

Calling the show a “deliciously dark and witty world,” she also said she was looking forward to bringing her “own touch of cuckoo-ness to the Addams family.”

Eva Green is best known for playing Vesper Lynd opposite Daniel Craig in the 2006 James Bond film Casino Royale. She has also won praise for her performance as Vanessa Ives in the fantasy horror series Penny Dreadful.

With Season 3 among Netflix’s most-awaited releases, fans will now be hoping Green makes a quick recovery and returns to the set soon.
