Belfast, Jun 28 (PTI) The Indian pace trio of Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh and debutant Prince Yadav produced incisive opening spells as India restricted Ireland to 154 for 8 in the second T20I here on Sunday.
The three seamers bowled with pace and discipline, with Harshit (1/17), Arshdeep (2/35) and Prince (3/22) claiming a wicket each in their opening spells to leave Ireland struggling at 48 for 3 after eight overs.
However, Harry Tector, playing his 100th T20I, anchored the innings with a patient 53 off 47 balls. Tector added 65 runs for the fourth wicket with Ben Calitz (37 off 23 balls) before Shivam Dube (2/25) turned the tide by snaring two wickets off successive deliveries in the 15th over.
Earlier, India handed debuts to batting all-rounder
Suryansh Shedge and Prince, while the much-anticipated debut of teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi did not materialise.
Ireland lead the series 1-0.
