Moradabad (UP), Sep 6 (PTI) A four-storey house declared unsafe and sealed two days ago, with occupants evacuated, has collapsed in the Mughalpura area here following two days of heavy rain, officials said on Sunday.
They said the municipal corporation directed the house owner, brass trader Sarfaraz Ali, to demolish the structure. Officials said the debris from the building that collapsed on Saturday evening fell onto nearby houses, shops and the road. Electricity poles and wires also fell, triggering panic.
Officials said shops were closed and police restricted movement in the area. Several parts of Moradabad have been waterlogged following days of rain. Rising water levels in the Ram Ganga and Gangan rivers have caused concern among people living
