At least two people died and several got injured after a restaurant building collapsed in the Jawahar Nagar area of Rajasthan’s Kota. The injured have been rushed to the medical college hospital for treatment, officials said.
According to initial reports, the building housed restaurants and was situated in a busy area, raising fears that multiple people may have been inside when it collapsed. The exact number of those trapped has not yet been officially confirmed.
Upon receiving the information, police teams reached the spot and immediately cordoned off the entire area to control the crowd and facilitate rescue operations.
Ambulances, fire brigade personnel and disaster response teams were also rushed to the site.

Rescue operations are underway, with teams carefully clearing debris to locate potential survivors. Heavy machinery is being deployed, but officials emphasized that work is proceeding cautiously to prevent further harm to anyone still trapped.
The cause of the building collapse is currently unknown. Authorities stated that a thorough investigation will be conducted once rescue operations are completed and have urged the public to stay away from the area while emergency efforts continue.
