A tragic incident took place in the Anoopshahr area in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr, a 22-year-old man, distraught over the marriage of a woman he loved, allegedly took his own life by jumping off a water
tank. The police reported the incident on Tuesday.
The man, identified as Sajid from Siraura village, climbed the water tank in the afternoon, attracting a large crowd of villagers. Despite his family’s efforts to convince him to come down, Sajid refused and ultimately jumped, according to the police.
He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him brought dead upon arrival.
Station House Officer (SHO) Dharmendra Kumar Sharma stated that preliminary investigations revealed Sajid was in a relationship with a woman whose marriage had recently been arranged elsewhere.
“He was reportedly disturbed over this, and further investigation into the matter is underway,” Sharma said.
Class 10 Student Dies Of Suicide In Rajasthan
A 14-year-old student from Jawahar Navodaya School’s hostel in Sikar, Rajasthan, who attempted suicide last week, passed away late Monday night, according to police reports.
The class 10 student reportedly tried to hang himself on Thursday. He received initial treatment in Neem ka Thana town and was subsequently admitted to JK Lone Hospital in Jaipur, where he succumbed to his injuries on Monday, police confirmed.
A police official stated that the student’s family members are holding the school authorities responsible for the incident. The matter is currently under investigation, the police added.
