Pranit More may have finished Bigg Boss 19 as the second runner-up, but his most viral moments from the show came from something completely unexpected — his habit of cracking jokes about host Salman Khan, which led to multiple playful scoldings on Weekend Ka Vaar. The exchange became a running gag through the season, with Salman ribbing him and Pranit trying to laugh it off. Now that he’s out of the house, Pranit has finally revealed whether he’ll continue poking fun at the superstar. In a chat with SCREEN, Pranit said he has no intention of repeating humour that might hurt someone. “No, we usually joke to entertain everybody, but if someone is getting hurt, then we wouldn’t want to repeat that. We joke for entertainment, not for controversy,”
he said. ‘We have become conscious now’ This shift in sensitivity didn’t come out of nowhere. Pranit also spoke about an earlier incident this year, when he was assaulted and his show vandalised after he made jokes about actor Veer Pahariya. Reflecting on how that episode changed him, he said, “We have become conscious now, and wonder if someone will get offended, but humour is very subjective. I avoid joking about religion and politics; I know they are sensitive topics. But sometimes we falter, and are working on it.” ‘Trolling for my looks doesn’t bother me’ Inside the Bigg Boss house, Pranit often faced comments and mockery regarding his appearance and skin colour. But he insists he never let it shake him. “I don’t pay heed to being trolled for my looks; if someone sees it that way, it’s their problem, and mentality, I don’t give it so much importance,” he said. Regret over fight with Malti Chahar One thing that still weighs on him is his fight with Malti Chahar. “But yes, I do regret my fight with Malti. I apologized to her back then, also things are getting better with her,” he shared. From struggling comic to reality show finalist Pranit also opened up about his long struggle before fame. “There was a point in life where there was a lot of struggle, had to fight a lot for everything. I used to wonder how others got something easily, so why not me? Now, I think that because I struggled so much, I am so grounded today. I can buy what I like, give my parents a credit card, and I have made a house for them.”
