Vijay Deverakonda, who already has a busy slate with Ranabaali and Rowdy Janardhana, may be adding another major project to his lineup. According to recent reports, the actor is likely to team up with director Vikram Kumar, best known for films such as 24, for a new pan-Indian film.
While the speculation has already created curiosity among fans, an official announcement about the project is still awaited.
Vijay Deverakonda To Team Up With Vikram Kumar?
As per a report by Aakashavaani, Vijay Deverakonda and Vikram Kumar are set to collaborate on an upcoming film. The project is reportedly being backed by Maddock Films and is expected to be mounted as a pan-Indian venture.
However, the report remains unconfirmed for now, as neither Vijay Deverakonda,
Vikram Kumar nor the production house has made an official announcement. If the collaboration does materialise, it could mark an interesting creative meeting between Vijay’s screen presence and Vikram Kumar’s flair for layered, genre-bending storytelling.
Vikram Kumar has often been associated with films and shows that carry strong narrative hooks, emotional arcs and mystery-driven elements. His reported collaboration with Vijay has therefore sparked interest, especially at a time when the actor is working on multiple large-scale projects.
Vikram Kumar Begins Work On Dhootha Season 2
Meanwhile, Vikram Kumar has also begun work on the second season of his web series Dhootha. The official update about the show was shared by Naga Chaitanya, with Parvathy Thiruvothu and Priya Bhavani Shankar set to return for the new season.
Dhootha Season 2 is expected to take forward the narrative introduced in the first instalment with more intensity and suspense. After the success of the debut season, the screenplay is said to explore the story in a more intricate and layered manner.
The series follows Sagar, a successful but morally ambiguous journalist who starts receiving newspaper clippings that predict tragic, fatal and often supernatural incidents involving his loved ones. As a series of disturbing events unfolds, Sagar comes under suspicion and is forced to investigate the source of these ominous predictions, while also confronting the demons of his own past.
Apart from Naga Chaitanya, Parvathy Thiruvothu and Priya Bhavani Shankar, the first season of Dhootha also featured Srikanth Murali, Prachi Desai, Anish Kuruvilla, Tharun Bhascker, Rohini, Tanikella Bharani and others in key roles.
