India will face five-time FIFA World Cup winners Brazil in a FIFA international friendly match on Saturday (October 3). The historic football match between the two teams is scheduled to take place at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.
India will be high on confidence in the match against the Selecao after playing out a 1-1 draw against Panama in their last match. Like Brazil, Panama also featured in the FIFA World Cup earlier this year and were more than 90 places above India in the FIFA rankings, but despite that, the North American side struggled against India in Bengaluru.
Indian fans will expect the Blue Tigers to come up with another impressive show against the Brazilian side, which includes the likes of Vinicius Junior, Endrick, Marquinhos, Gabriel
and Estêvão, among others.
India will have high hopes from forward Ryan Williams, who scored a goal against Panama in the last match. It is not right to expect India to get the better of Brazil because there is a big gap in the quality of the two teams. However, Indian players will certainly look to impress with their game against arguably the greatest football team in the world..
