Dhurandhar 2 Teaser: Akshaye Khanna Is Missing From Aditya Dhar’s Film, Fans Are ‘Feeling Empty’

The wait is finally over! After the massive success of Dhurandhar, the makers have dropped the teaser of Ranveer Singh-starrer action thriller Dhurandhar 2. Titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the action drama promises darker, grittier, and far more explosive scenes.
The teaser offers a glimpse into a new chapter of undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi aka Hamza Ali Mazari’s mission in Karachi, Pakistan, as he takes over Rehman Dakait’s legacy to become the new Sher-e-Baloch and the undisputed king of Lyari.

While the teaser features Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal of the ISI, Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam of Sindh Police’s Lyari Task Force, and R Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, the Director of the IB (a character inspired by Ajit Doval), fans were quick

to notice that the most-beloved character Rehman Dakait (played by Akshaye Khanna) was notably missing.

Shortly after its release, social media platforms became a hub of audience reactions. A majority of viewers expressed their disappointment over Akshaye Khanna’s absence from the teaser. Many claimed that Dhurandhar 2 looks weak without his character Rehman
Dakait.

Will Akshaye Khanna Be Part Of Dhurandhar 2?

Though Akshaye does not appear in the teaser, he is said to make a flashback appearance in Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Ranveer Singh, in his social media posts related to the film, confirmed that Akshaye will indeed be seen in the movie. In the first part of the
franchise, Ranveer’s character brutally kills Rehman, setting the stage for Hamza’s rise in Lyari.

Written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar, the high-octane spy-action thriller is slated for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026 in five languages Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
