Mumbai, Aug 12 (PTI) Apparel manufacturer Gokaldas Exports has reported a 7.31 per cent year-on-year rise in consolidated profit after tax (PAT) at Rs 44 crore during the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
The company’s PAT was at Rs 41 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year, Gokaldas Exports said in a regulatory filing.
Total income of the company grew by 21 per cent during the quarter under review to Rs 1,180 crore, compared to Rs 977 crore in the same period last year.
The total income from the India business grew by 16 per cent YoY, benefiting from higher order execution and realisations; however, the company saw a 12 per cent YoY decline in Indian apparel exports during the quarter.
Its Africa business registered 45 per
cent YoY growth during the quarter, driven by higher volume following the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) renewal.
“Better order execution in India and higher volume in Africa led to a strong income growth in the quarter.
“The company has come out of penal tariff and now enjoys parity with global peers, which allows it to compete on a level playing field for business. Focus on productivity gains and a strong order book should help growth and margins going forward,” Gokaldas Exports Vice Chairman and Managing Director Sivaramakrishnan Ganapathi said. PTI SM DRR
