Shreyas Iyer-led India will face Zimbabwe in a three-match T20I series, with the opener scheduled to be played at the Harare Sports Club on Thursday (July 23). The same venue will also host the second and third T20Is on Saturday (July 25) and Sunday (July 26), respectively.
Zimbabwe announced their squad for the home series against India on Wednesday and retained star all-rounder Sikandar Raza. Raza, who is Zimbabwe’s most-capped player in international cricket, will look to deliver impactful performances with both bat and ball to help the hosts stun India and win the series in front of their home fans.
Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer will be eager to register his first T20I series win as India captain. He has led India in eight T20I matches so far and
has suffered defeat in seven of them. The Indian selectors have picked a strong batting unit for the tour of Zimbabwe, while the bowling attack features a couple of uncapped fast bowlers and Harsh Dubey, who is yet to make his T20I debut.
India last faced Zimbabwe in a T20I during the Super 8 stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in February 2026, while their previous tour of Zimbabwe came in July 2024. On that tour, India played five T20Is in Harare and won four of them under Shubman Gill’s leadership.
