There’s an unpleasant news for all Akshay Kumar fans. Recently, the Khiladi actor was said to be roped in for the Bollywood remake of Venkatesh Daggubati’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam. But a latest report suggests that the actor will not be a part of the project.
According to a Pinkvilla report quoting sources, Akshay Kumar will not be featured in Venkatesh Daggubati’s role in Sankranthiki Vasthunam. Apart from Venkatesh, the film features Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary in key roles.
Akshay Kumar Will Not Headline Sankranthiki Vasthunam
Although there were reports that the actor might collaborate with producer Dil Raju for a Hindi version of the film, it seems the information is untrue. The Hindi remake was also said to be helmed by Anees
Bazmee.
The source revealed that Akshay Kumar had watched Sankranthiki Vasthunam sometime back but had no plans to remake it. However, the actor and filmmaker Bazmee are in talks for a collaboration for a separate project.
“Akshay has multiple films lined up, including Haiwaan, Bhagam Bhaag 2, Welcome To The Jungle, and Hera Pheri 3, along with a couple of other projects that are being kept under wraps. He had seen the Venkatesh film a while back as a cinema lover, but he’s not doing the Hindi remake. In fact, he has been meeting Anees Bazmee for another collaboration,” the insider said.
