Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar has been breaking records at the box office since its release on December 5, 2025. The spy action thriller has got everyone talking about it and overshadowed all other
new and upcoming releases, like Ram Ketu. Even in its second and third weeks, the film continues to earn in double digits.
So far, Dhurandhar has crossed Rs 1,200 crore worldwide, surpassing major blockbusters like RRR, KGF 2 and Jawan. The film has also impacted the performance of newer releases such as Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri and Ikkis.
Rahu Ketu Team Reacts To Dhurandhar Buzz
With Rahu Ketu set to hit theatres on January 16, questions were raised about whether Dhurandhar’s box office storm could affect its release. Responding to this, actor Manu Rishi Chadha, who plays a key role in the comedy, said the team is not worried.
“Rahu Ketu bhi Dhurandhar film hai. Dhurandhar dekh li yaar ab bahut logon ne. Jin-jin logon ko dikhani thi, ab dekh li hai. Ab aap dekhen Rahu Ketu,” he said during a promotional event, adding that audiences should now make space for a new film.

Manu Rishi’s comment quickly went viral and sparked mixed reactions online. Several Reddit users said they would still prefer spending money if “it’s going to be Dhurandhar, nothing else.”
Some comments joked, “I had no idea there’s a movie coming out called Rahu-Ketu! Wow! Now I’ll certainly be watching Dhurandhar for the 3rd time in a hall.”

Separately, In 2024, Manu Rishi reflected on completing over 25 years in Mumbai. He shared that while he always knew what he wanted to do when he arrived, today he clearly knows what he does not want to do. Calling himself a “people’s writer,” Manu Rishi said his confidence grew after writing dialogues for Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!. The actor revealed that he had intentionally stepped back from acting to focus on writing but later returned as good acting offers started coming his way.
He also spoke about working on himself, staying fit, and reducing mobile phone usage, calling digital detox important.

Meanwhile, Rahu Ketu, directed by Vipul Vig and backed by Zee Studios and BLive Productions, stars Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Shalini Pandey and Chunky Panday and releases in cinemas on January 16.
