Importance Of Sharad Purnima

Sharad Purnima occurs on the full moon of the Ashwin month. On this night, people prepare kheer and place it under the moonlight, believing that Goddess Lakshmi roams the earth asking ‘Who is awake?’. This is why it is also called Kojagiri Purnima.
