Samastipur in Bihar needed 32 balls in the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 match between India A and the United Arab Emirates to reach the 100-run mark.
He has hammered 10 fours and 9 sixes so far for the Jitesh Sharma-led side at West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha.
The century by Vaibhav on Friday is the joint-fourth fastest by any cricketer in T20s.
