Hussam Aseem’s Career
Hussam Aseem aka Flipperachi, fell in love with music when he was just 12. He mastered the art of rap as a teen and entered the music world professionally in 2003. In 2008, Flipperachi signed with Outlaw Productions, and six years later, he released his debut album Straight Out Of 2Seas, featuring his hit rap We So Fly. Flipperachi won the Bahraini Artist of the Year in 2024. Some of his other noteworthy tracks include “Shoofha,” “Shino AlKalam Hatha,” “Enty Jameela,” and “Nayda”.
Although Flipperachi faced scepticism as an Arab rapper early in his career, he managed to build a regional fanbase through his high-energy performances at prominent events like the Red House Hip Hop festival and Formula One. Later, he collaborated with global artists like Shaquille O’Neal, Shaggy and The Game
Flipperachi’s Key Achievements
Flipperachi bagged the Bahraini Artist of the Year award last year. But it was Dhurandhar’s Fa9la, powering Akshaye Khanna’s viral entry scene, that helped him rise to fame in India via Fa9la. Being one of Bahrain’s most sought-after hip-hop exports, he enjoys millions of streams on YouTube and Spotify.
Flipperachi’s Discography Highlights
Flipperachi unveiled his debut album Straight Out Of 2Seas in 2014, featuring his hit track We So Fly. Two years later, in 2016, the singer released his collaborative album 9ARAT with fellow rapper Daffy, which soon became a chart-topper on iTunes. Flipperachi’s single hit track Ea Laa reached millions of YouTube views. Shoofha, another of Flipperachi’s songs, from his same-titled album, became an earworm too.
Some of Flipperachi’s other notable singles, apart from Fa9la, include Nayda, Shino AlKalam Hatha, Enty Jameela, Akuma Yaw and Hayalla Min Yana.
Flipperachi’s Streaming Stats
Fa9la has become the most played track on Spotify, gaining about 2.73 million streams. Meanwhile, Shoofha follows with about 2.69 million. The VFX song has roughly attained 1.67 million and Ea Laa has amassed nearly 1.41 million streams.
Recent trends show that Fa9la track garnered 13,000 plays last week. Shoofha gained around 4,000, while Ea Laa picked up nearly 2,900. Flipperachi’s profile attracts about 186,900 monthly listeners.
Flipperachi’s Dhudrandhar Rap
In Dhurandhar’s Fa9la rap, Akshaye Khanna, dressed in a black suit, steps out of his car in ultimate swagger. He enters a small event and greets everyone with a ‘salam’ as dancers exhibit a traditional performance. He walks ahead and happily obliges to a small dance before settling in his seat. Ranveer Singh was also in the same frame. In the Bahraini dialect, FA9LA translates to “fun time” or “party”.
How Flipperachi’s Fa9la Has The Same Vibe As Shahnaaz Randhawa’s Jamal Kudu
Safe to say that what Flipperachi’s Fa9la did to Akshaye Khanna, Shahnaaz Randhawa’s Jamal Kudu had the same effect on Bobby Deol. If you remember, back in 2023, when Ranbir Kapoor’s crime-action Animal released in the theatres, cinema enthusiasts couldn’t stop discussing Bobby Deol’s entry song to the Iranian number Jamal Kudu.
In the video, Bobby Deol’s Abrar Haque, a merciless antagonist, dances joyfully with a group of Iranian women. Adding a playful touch to the scene was when he balanced a glass of drink on his head and executed an interesting move. Jamal Kudu was Bobby Deol’s character’s official entry song, which lives rent-free in our minds.
How Did The Internet React To Fa9la
Needless to mention, fans couldn’t help but shake a leg to Fa9la and reacted to the upbeat track on X.
“Absolute banger. Amazingly choreographed and shot,” lauded a user.
“He (Akshaye Khanna) comes once or twice a year, but what an actor. Does not stay in the limelight. Very, very underrated,” gushed another.
“Bro was aura farming in this scene,” agreed an individual. “Akshay Khanna’s Jamaal Kudu moment is here,” pointed out one person.
Dhurandhar, led by Ranveer Singh, was released in the theatres on December 5.
