Bhadohi (UP), Aug 11 (PTI) A 34-year-old police constable died after his motorcycle collided with a bull in Uttar Pradesh’s Bhadohi district, police said on Tuesday.
Circle Officer (City) Sumit Tripathi on Tuesday said that the incident occurred on Monday at around 10 pm.
The deceased has been identified as Constable Raj Kumar Bharti.
Constable Bharti, who was posted at the CO’s office, was riding his motorcycle in Modh police outpost area (under Bhadohi Kotwali) when a bull suddenly appeared in the middle of the road and collided with his two-wheeler.
The constable suffered injuries and was rushed to the district hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, the police said, adding that body has been sent for post-mortem.
Tripathi said that
the deceased constable was accorded a final salute at the Police Lines today and his body has been dispatched for the last rites to his native Siddh Ehlaspur village in Mau.
Constable Bharti had joined the police force in 2016 and was residing in the police quarters at Sarpataha with his wife and one-and-a-half-year-old daughter. PTI COR NAV NB NB
