Delhi, Jun 30 (PTI) Zinc prices rose nearly 1 per cent in futures trade on Tuesday, tracking strength in the global markets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for July delivery climbed by Rs 3.45, or 0.96 per cent, to Rs 361.80 per kg in a business turnover of 2,409 lots.
The August contract also advanced by Rs 4.10, or 1.15 per cent, to Rs 360 per kg in 285 lots.
Market participants said the gains in the domestic market were in line with firm trends overseas.
In the international markets, zinc futures on the London Metal Exchange (LME) rose by USD 46.90, or 1.35 per cent, at USD 3,533.60 per metric tonne. PTI HG HG BAL BAL
