The West Indies men’s cricket team, which is set to face Team India in a two-match Test series next month, will hold a six-day practice camp in Ahmedabad. According to a Cricket West Indies (CWI) official, who was quoted by Cricbuzz on Saturday, September 20, the Roston Chase-led side will train in Ahmedabad ahead of the series opener from September 24.
The first Test of the two-match series between India and the West Indies will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium from October 2 to 6, and Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium will host the second red-ball match from October 10 to 14.
“We have a team that we expect to perform well, in particular a quite exciting fast bowling attack. We are there from September 24 through to the first Test,” CWI CEO Christ

As per the available information, Cricket West Indies (CWI) have informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) that their team will train in Ahmedabad from September 24 to 29, before beginning their final preparations for the opening Test.
In the team picked for the two-match series in India, West Indies have included two specialist spinners – Jomel Warrican and uncapped Khary Pierre – who are both left-armers. In addition to them, captain Roston Chase is another spin bowling option.
In the fast bowling department, the squad includes the likes of Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph, Jayden Seales and Anderson Phillips.

The West Indies last played a Test series against India in July 2023. In that assignment, they lost the first Test in front of home fans, but the second match ended in a draw due to rain.
The West Indies suffered a 0-3 defeat against Australia in the last Test series played in June-July 2025. In the second innings of the third Test, which was a day-night affair, West Indies batters could only manage to score 27 runs.
