Hyderabad, Aug 13 (PTI) A woman principal of a private school in Nalgonda district of Telangana has been found murdered with multiple stab wounds, police said on Thursday.
The victim, aged around 50, was found dead at her residence in Kondamallepally mandal on Wednesday morning. The woman was alone at home, they added.
The motive was under investigation, a police official said.
“After the deceased woman’s husband, who was away in Hyderabad, did not get any response to his phone calls to her, he informed some neighbours, who alerted the police, and they found the woman dead,” the official said.
The victim was inflicted with multiple stab wounds on her stomach and neck, either with a knife or a similar sharp object.
When asked about reports that the
victim’s body allegedly had 27 stab wounds, the official said there are multiple injuries and that the exact number would be confirmed based on the post-mortem examination report, which is awaited.
Based on the complaint filed by the son of the deceased woman, a murder case was registered at Kondamallepally police station. Further investigation is on. PTI VVK VVK ADB
