Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag sat out Tuesday’s IPL 2026 clash against Lucknow Super Giants, with Yashasvi Jaiswal stepping in to lead the side in Jaipur. Parag was sidelined due to a hamstring injury and was replaced by Lhuan-dre Pretorius in the playing XI.
Stand-in skipper Jasiwal confirmed that Parag wasn’t named in the playing XI against LSG on Tuesday.

“He [Parag] has a hamstring injury, hopefully he’ll be fine,” Jaiswal told the broadcaster after Rajasthan Royals won the toss at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
“It means a lot to me, I’m proud to lead the Rajasthan Royals.”
“We’re all speaking to everyone, the mindset and the attitude is important, and that’s what we want to bring
to this game. Just smile and enjoy the game. That’s what I want to say,” he added.
