Indian pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah reminisced about a college game where he took on roles quite different from his renowned toe-crushing, swinging pace bowling. Bumrah revealed, “I bowled off spin, kept wickets, and even batted at number six.”
A video of Bumrah wearing wicketkeeping gloves during an Indian Premier League (IPL) training session was shared by the Mumbai Indians (MI) franchise. In the video, Bumrah is seen enjoying himself with the gloves on, a change from his usual role with the cricket ball.
“In a college game, for my university, there was that one game where I bowled off spin, kept wickets and did a stumping as well and batted at number six. I did everything!” he said in the video.
