TV personality Gitikka Ganju Dhar graces the big screen with her presence in Aditya Dhar’s much-awaited film Dhurandhar. Gitikka is expected to deliver a compelling performance in the film led by Ranveer
Singh.
Over the years, Gitikka has established herself as a grounded yet impactful performer across films and other digital platforms.
Who is Gitikka Ganju Dhar?
Gitikka began her career in 2000 as an anchor and has hosted multiple shows, including Meri Saheli, Zaike Ka Safar, Executive Class, Chitrahaar and others. Alongside TV shows, she also hosted more than 3,000 live events, including 20th Kargil Vijay Diwas, Fit India Launch, Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas, IIFA Press Conference, Lakme Fashion Week, Swatch Bharat Abhiyan among others. She has also partnered with several national and international brands.
In recent years, Gitikka has been making waves as an actress. Some of her notable work include Tanaav Season 2, Aarya Season 2, and Laal Singh Chaddha in 2022.
Gitikka Ganju Dhar on Joining Dhurandhar
During an interview Gitikka talked about her experience of working in the film and shared, “Dhurandhar is poised to be a stalwart of a film. In India, this genre has not been cinematically presented with such precision and panache before. I am happy to be a part of this film.”
Praising both Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar, she added, “I am proud of the work the director and producers, Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar, have put into this project. And of course, watching ‘The Chameleon,’ Ranveer Singh, in action was a delight.”
Talking about Dhurandhar’s commitment to authenticity, Gittika shared, “Every few years comes a film that changes how stories are told. Dhurandhar is one such feature film. Aditya Dhar, sharp and clear-headed, has excelled in making a bold and authentic representation of the truth behind this plot.”
What Do We Know About Dhurandhar?
The film is inspired by real-life incidents, geopolitical conflicts, and operations of RAW, particularly Operation Lyari, a government-led crackdown on local gangs and crime syndicated in Karachi, Pakistan. Ranveer Singh is seen in the lead role alongside Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. Dhurandhar hit the theatres on December 5.
